Weight Management

Are you worried about your weight?
Interested in medical or surgical treatment but terrified of making the right choice?
Struggling to find aftercare following weight-loss surgery?
Overwhelmed by ADHD, compulsive or binge eating and its effect on your weight?

Our ADHD-friendly Medical Support Service run by the UK’s most experienced, fully qualified Bariatric Nurse, can help you on your weight-loss journey including the hugely important after care.

This will include:

  • Therapeutic discussions to establish if there is a root cause for your excess weight
  • Screening for ADHD if undiagnosed
  • Regular contact with your clinician
  • Careful analysis of blood results and supplements as required

What makes us different?

Our clinicians have a proven track record in weight management and will also consider your overall health. We are happy to communicate with other members of your healthcare team. We will advise where you can access NHS services and won’t sell medication that is available to you via your GP.

We only prescribe medication according to the manufacturers’ licence and NICE guidelines. Your safety is paramount.

  • Recommendations for private bariatric surgeons should you choose to consider weight loss surgery or require revision surgery
  • Recommendation to private plastic surgeons for skin removal if required.
  • We can also write to your GP with advice and recommendations if you wish to follow the NHS route.
  • Support and advice for ADHD services (NHS and private)
  • Private blood tests if required

How does it work?

  • We carefully work with you to understand what may be causing your excess weight. This makes weight-loss more effective, and you are more likely to keep the weight off for longer.
  • We check to see if you take any medication or have any health conditions that cause weight gain.
  • We may recommend medication specifically licenced for weight loss. These work by keeping you fuller for longer and reducing your appetite.

Where will my appointments take place?

We like to see you for your first consultation in person at one of our consulting rooms or via Zoom. At that appointment, we discuss your needs and plan your follow up appointment. This may include face to face, via the internet or even via email if you prefer. You chose what works for you.

Who will I see at my appointment?

You will see Toni Russo RGN RM PGDip.

Toni Russo qualified as a Nurse in 1987 and has worked as a Specialist Nurse ever since. She had always had a weight problem and so she underwent weight loss surgery in 2000. In 2022 she was diagnosed with ADHD which explained her struggle with weight over the years.

She has maintained her weight loss and is keen to support other patients and also to improve the knowledge of the general public and media. She is frequently interviewed by LBC and BBC radio. She has a special interest in ADHD and lipoedema and obesity.
