JACQUI

HUMANISTIC INTEGRATIVE ADHD COUNSELLOR

BREATHWORK PRACTITIONER

DIAGNOSED COMBINED ADHD
MOTHER OF 2 ADHD TEENS

LOCATION ~ IG9

At the age of 50 Jacqui was diagnosed with ADHD and with the diagnosis came with the feeling that she could at last make sense of herself, her family and of everything that had happened to her in her life.

Until her own diagnosis she had no idea that ADHD was hereditary, but now realises her father who had alcohol and anger issues, almost definitely had the condition as well.

The diagnosis also helped her understand her teenage daughter.  She had been admitted to a psychiatric hospital when she was just 15, having tried to take her own life three times.  Her rejection sensitive dysphoria having made her feel like life just wasn’t worth living.  She subsequently struggled when taking her A-levels as her fear of failure was so severe.

Jacqui also understands ADHD in marital relationships – having had the same arguments with her husband of 22 years!

Jacqui has felt constantly restless, always wanting to learn something new, which has meant she has also trained and qualified as an Interfaith Minister, iheart teacher and Breathwork Facilitator.

Jacqui didn’t see how these were connected until her diagnosis but now she realises all her work is around helping people find the simplicity in life and to quiet their minds.

Breathwork has really helped Jacqui herself with finding peace and serenity and knows it is the reason she was able to cope with her undiagnosed ADHD for so many years.  It was only the hormonal changes in menopause which drove her to seek a diagnosis.

Jacqui is passionate about helping people come to terms with their ADHD diagnosis, parenting, addiction, relationships or just the feeling that if only you could quiet your mind things would be easier.
