DIAGNOSED COMBINED ADHD

LOCATION ~ HP9

Ruth was eventually diagnosed with Combined ADHD in 2022, at the age of 58. So many generations of her family are either diagnosed or ‘assumed’ to have ADHD that it’s staggering it took her so long to realise that she also had the family condition.

Ruth is an experienced life coach, business & corporate coach, and career planning expert. She loves helping people to achieve their dreams, their way. She is particularly passionate about empowering women and entrepreneurs to start up, gain confidence and succeed. Whatever your career dream is, whether big or small, Ruth will always have a plan to get you there.

During many years of employability coaching, Ruth has worked with hard-to-reach young people, adults, women who feel they are under achieving, small businesses, and public companies. In 2008 she created a bespoke training programme for London Underground working in partnership with Four Counties Training, Entrepreneurs in Action, the Learning & Skills Council, Jobcentre Plus and other stakeholders. This involved developing and delivering a coaching programme including literacy and numeracy; designing coaching materials and mentoring protocols; managing the mentoring programme and being a member of the Steering Group.

Previously Ruth’s experience of working with young people included teaching and assessing students and adults in colleges, small businesses, and public companies. She thoroughly enjoys working with a wide variety of clients from adolescents to late-diagnosed adults like herself.

Ruth understands only too well how it feels to be ‘different’. She sees her ADHD brain as her secret weapon; she has used it all her life to see things from a different view and develop strategies to get the most out of life – now she finally understands that ‘different view’ has been caused by a neuro diversity she didn’t even know she had! As a result, her first book, ‘The Disgruntled Woman’s Guide to a Fabulous Future’, will be published in 2022. Her tried and tested techniques will be available in print for the first time.

Ruth is particularly passionate about working with women who feel they have under achieved and are capable of so much more. This is all too common with undiagnosed ADHD. Ruth understands this only too well because she has been there herself and got the T-shirt! Now she is passionate about helping other people identify and realise their full potential.

Sarah’s best-selling book ‘How NOT to Murder Your ADHD Kid – Instead Learn to be Your Child’s Own ADHD Coach’ would not be in existence were it not for Ruth’s powerful and effective coaching.

Ruth has developed a 10-week course that you can choose to follow during therapy. This will identify your strengths, put in place coping mechanisms to deal with any issues that have held you back and create your very own structured plan for you to live the life you’ve only dreamed of.

Whether you are just starting out, are further along the road but stumbling, or have come to a complete stop – Ruth totally GETS that an ADHD brain will often start something but just can’t follow through. Starting is easy with the hundreds of ideas an ADHD brain has. Finishing is something quite different.

Ruth is very happy to support parents who have children aged 16+ who are ‘stuck’ and not sure how to move on with further education or choosing career paths.

Ruth uses coaching tools, business diagnostics and consistent mentoring to take you to the next level. From an interview-guaranteeing CV – which she helps you prepare – to pitching for investment, business plans and financial forecasts. There’s nothing more satisfying for Ruth than seeing you build on your ideas and achieve more than you ever dreamed possible.
