PROFILE

Jane believes all young people have the right to be heard and valued for exactly who they uniquely are.

Everyone has the ability to succeed at something but sometimes it’s difficult for them to figure out what that is as other stuff gets in the way!

With so many expectations now being put on young people, growing up can be an absolute nightmare and a daily struggle for teenagers and those around them. And that’s without bringing additional considerations such as ADHD and other co-existing conditions into the mix.

Through her own lived experiences growing up Jane understands how curiosity and the thrill of being rebellious can be a heady cocktail which leaves young people in difficult situations, sometimes on the wrong side of the law. This most often leaves their families feeling frustrated and helpless.

Jane’s own ADHD wasn’t diagnosed until she was 58 and until then she had struggled with understanding why procrastination and addictive behaviour played such a major part in her life. Yet she thrived during crisis or fast-paced situations and found multi tasking and leading a large team while under pressure to be an absolute breeze!

Jane has vast experience in her personal and professional life through Youth Services, education and her own ADHD
Jane has worked with numerous clients dealing with self harm, addictive behaviours, food and eating issues, violence in the home, petty crime, drug and alcohol addiction, poverty, suicide ideation, suicide, child sexual exploitation, child criminal exploitation and knife crime.
