Becca managed to gain her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Politics not knowing she had ADHD and also juggling motherhood and working!  She graduated from The Royal Holloway University with Honours.

Then she followed her lifelong dream to become a Police Officer and very quickly graduated becoming a Detective working with child abuse.

Becca became pregnant with her fourth child only to suffer a tragic loss at 20 weeks. The trauma of losing her daughter triggered Becca to find professional help and this was when she first had counselling and realised the power the right support could bring.

Becca went straight back to work and soon had her fourth son which set her back emotionally as she realised she had never allowed herself the chance to process the trauma.

Two years later after a decade as a serving police officer, Becca really wanted to change direction, so she applied for a career break.

After experiencing grief and life changing events Becca felt passionate about helping people on a deeper level than she had been able to as Detective. So, her journey to retrain as a counsellor began. Alongside her counselling training, she set up her own training business and began travelling the UK and Europe delivering Mental Health First Aid courses and Child Safeguarding training.

Becca combined all her skills and experience and became an Intermediary for young defendants, witnesses and mothers, in care proceedings at court.

Becca has a drive and passion for helping other people especially if they have challenges that make it harder for them to communicate, whether that be verbally, emotionally or physically.

She has assisted young people with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, ODD, self-harm and many more. She found huge satisfaction from working with these clients and felt she could understand them and their issues more than some of her colleagues.

Becca is a specialist Investigative interviewer of Children and actively works alongside young and traumatised children helping them use their own words to tell their account of what has happened to them in a kind and compassionate way that can be used as best evidence for courts.

Becca was diagnosed with having combined ADHD herself as an adult and her youngest son showed signs from a very early age of ADHD and is currently going through the assessment process for ADHD.

Becca fully understands ADHD and how to manage and function in a world full of neurotypical children and adults, in order to allow that person to feel they belong.

Becca is a busy mum of four very active boys and is passionate about staying active and fulfilling lots of hobbies. Becca loves learning and reading and continuing to learn more skills to help people.
