The Orientation Package
This course provides 1 session of 2 hours
Neurodiversity Profiling for families just starting out
If you feel something isn’t quite right with your child but aren’t yet sure what you’re seeing, the Orientation Package is designed for you. It’s a gentle introduction to Neurodiversity Profiling, providing clarity, reassurance and a clear sense of direction, particularly if you’re not yet sure you want to proceed to formal diagnosis.
Who this package is for?
The Orientation Package is the gentlest entry point into Neurodiversity Profiling. It’s often the right fit for families who:
● Feel something isn’t quite right but can’t yet put their finger on what
● Want to understand their child better before pursuing formal diagnosis
● Need a clear sense of direction and next steps
● Are looking for reassurance as much as answers
If your concerns feel more complex or you suspect co-existing conditions alongside ADHD, the Exploration Package may be a better fit.
What you’ll take away
Following the session, you will receive:
● A clearer understanding of what may be going on for your child
● Practical, tailored recommendations for home and school
● Guidance on next steps, whether that’s further assessment or targeted support
Please note: the Orientation Package does not include a written report. If you need a written report to share with your child’s school or other professionals, the Exploration Package is the right choice.
Frequently asked questions
What happens during the session
During the 2-hour session, we take time to understand your child as a whole, looking beyond behaviours to what may be driving them.
Areas we explore
- ADHD traits: Including Attention, Impulsivity and Regulation in everyday life
- Emotional Regulation: Understanding triggers, responses and capacity to manage feelings
- Ehlers-Danlos (where relevant): Considering any physical factors that may be impacting wellbeing
We also look at
- Your child’s strengths and individual profile
- Patterns at home and school
- Early indicators of neurodivergence or co-existing needs
This isn’t a formal diagnostic assessment. It’s a supportive profiling session designed to help you understand your child and decide what to do next.
What is Neurodiversity Profiling?
Neurodiversity Profiling is a structured way of understanding how your child experiences the world. It looks at traits associated with ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent profiles, alongside Emotional Regulation and any Co-existing needs. It’s not a formal diagnosis, but it gives you a clearer picture of what’s going on.
