DIAGNOSED INATTENTIVE ADHD
LOCATION ~ RH19
Kathryn was finally diagnosed with ADHD when she was 38 after twenty years of therapy, which hadn’t got close to realising what was really going on for her. The diagnosis came as a total shock as it had never been flagged before, so finding out brought up a lot of confusing feelings and emotions.
It had only taken ten minutes of speaking with a new therapist for her to ask “Have you been diagnosed with ADHD?” This led to Kathryn spending long hours researching and understanding ADHD till she had confirmation of her diagnosis of inattentive ADHD.
When Kathryn looks back now to being a small child she can see the symptoms of ADHD were obvious but in that era ADHD wasn’t recognised or understood and it was certainly wasn’t recognised in girls in the 1980’s.
When Kathryn was at school she found herself excelling in some classes and getting good grades, but in other classes she was deemed as disruptive and cheeky with a ‘daydreamer’ attitude. This got out of control in some classes and Kathryn even had her own table outside some classes!
Being late for school was a huge problem and she would find herself in the headmaster’s office on a regular basis.
After school Kathryn trained and qualified as a Hairdresser. She enjoyed the work, particularly talking to the clients and successfully ran her own business. However she realises now that it was challenging her and her own mental health for a long time. When she finally got diagnosed it was then she realised that was what she really wanted to do was become an ADHD coach and therapist. After spending so many years not quite understanding why everyday was taking so much out of her she had finally found her passion.
Kathryn enjoys working with ADHD individuals, couples and children and very well understands how the condition can impact all aspects of life.
In Kathryn’s sessions she encourages clients to be as open as possible with how ADHD is affecting their life and identifying areas where support is needed most.

My 13-year old daughter and I have worked with Kathryn to help manage her ADHD. While I have read extensively about ADHD and attended parental coaching courses. Kathryn provided valuable insights and offered fresh perspectives that I had not previously considered. She quickly built a strong rapport with my daughter, engaging with her on a level that felt natural and respectful.
Working together as a group of three proved particularly beneficial. For instance, I was able to share my concerns, and Kathyrn skillfully facilitated discussions to identify practical solutions. These conversations were always conducted constructively and positively, leaving both my daughter and me feeling encouraged after each session.
Overall, I believe Kathryns expertise has significantly strengthened the bond between my daughter and me. I wholeheartedly recommend her services.
