Lucy is an experienced Career and Life Coach who supports adults with ADHD to navigate career and lifestyle changes that really work for them.

Lucy had her own ADHD a-ha! moment in her 40s’s following a close family member’s diagnosis. She harnessed the power of hyperfocus and her love of learning to find out everything she could about ADHD – taking courses, reading books and learning from the leading ADHD brain scientists and researchers. As she learned, her own constellation of ADHD traits suddenly joined-up and gave her a clear way of self-understanding. So many things suddenly made sense!

Before training as a Coach in 2013, Lucy had a successful career in Public Relations and Communications in the commercial and ‘Not for Profit’ sectors including organisations such as Leonard Cheshire Disability, Parkinson’s UK, Victim Support, RNIB and Brain Tumour UK.

Even though the fast-pace of PR suited her need for new and exciting things to work on, she finally shifted careers to the world of coaching after experiencing burnout from the overachieving, masking, RSD and people pleasing that she now recognises as being part of her own undiagnosed ADHD.

Without knowing it, Lucy’s eventual career change was her way of making self-accommodations and self-scaffolding strategies to manage her ADHD, even if she didn’t have a name for it then!

Lucy is now passionate about working with adults with ADHD to help them understand their strengths, values, purpose and goals. She supports people to build confidence through self-awareness, self-compassion and reflection.

Lucy also loves sharing her passion for creative thinking, problem solving and ‘organising hacks’ that she’s learned along the way, to help you manage your ADHD.

Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, have a childhood diagnosis or are currently discovering that you may have ADHD – Lucy can help you move forward. Lucy is also learning more each day about the impact perimenopause and menopause have on female ADHD clients.

Lucy is happy to support parents especially of girls with Inattentive ADHD, which she has most experience with.

Lucy starts by exploring your personal ‘constellation’ of ADHD traits and co-existing conditions and how they impact your life, work or business.

Together, you will identify and experiment with strategies and mechanisms that will work with your ADHD rather than against it. And learn to replace unhelpful thinking styles with new thinking – using Growth Mindset and intentional action.

If you have a partner with ADHD and need strategies for understanding and renegotiating your relationship and home environment, then Lucy’s coaching can help with this too.

Lucy benefitted from the support of a coach to make her own transition – to create a career, and pace of work, that suits her preferences for working flexible patterns, autonomy, creativity and self-growth.
Most importantly, she’s now focused on inspiring and supporting others to design the life that they truly need, with their own measures of success.

Lucy is a Full Member of The Association for Coaching, where she also works part time as the Programme Manager for Digital Learning.
